To this...

Every week we get a chance to visit the library and change our book. Here is the library timetable so you know when your class will be visiting.

Our 'Grand Opening' took place on 8th February. Take a look at the newspaper article some very talented children in Year 2 have written.

Our Book-Tastic New Library!

Written by Alexandra, Alex and Ethan

Christian Darkin, who has written seven ‘Act Normal’ books, has cut the red ribbon to open our terrific, book-tastic library!

We had a special assembly and Christian Darkin explained how he writes books and makes the designs for the book covers. He was really funny. After the assembly, he showed us (the news reporters) and the school council to the library. We went inside and looked at our fantastic books and then sat on the special carpet by the fireplace to look at the plaque. We felt amazed, excited and marvellous!

We have about 4000 books at the moment, but we want even more than that! Raising £788 during the Readathon has helped so much to reach our target of 5000 books. More people are now swiping pages than watching boring, old TV! We must remember what Dr Seuss said, “The more you read, the more things you will know! The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go!”
